Advac Elastomers and Rubber Research Elastomerics
have developed grades of Tirecycle® products that can
displace black color additives and UV stabilizers, and provide flex
modification to polyolefins. Depending on the level of use, Tirecycle®
/ plastic composite materials can mimic the flex properties of PE's and
PP's, or exhibit higher flexibility and improved cracking resistance.
The proprietary particle surface treatments used in these grades
minimizes processing odor and improves melt compatibility.
Because the feedstocks of Tirecycle® are
not reliant on fossil fuel production, utilizing Advac materials can
lower your material costs, alleviate supply shortages, and increase post
consumer content in your products.
Tirecycle® MBS-800 and other plastic
modifier grades have been tested in rotomolding, extrusion,
thermoforming, and injection molding. Contact your Advac representative
for recommended applications, levels of use, and processing conditions.
