Tirecycle® and all Advac products are based on reactivated particle technology pioneered and developed by Rubber Research Elastomerics. Since the seminal article on reactivated particle technology, "The conversion of scrap rubber into a new compounding tool" (Stark, Leighton, Wagner - RRE) appeared in Rubber World in August 1983, the principles of the technology have been validated by numerous commercial applications worldwide and in industrial, academic, and government research.

Advac Elastomers is the North American producer of Tirecycle and related products since 1999. Our down under counterpart, RREcycle Australia, has been producing for the Asian and Australian markets since 1995.

Advac polymer surface treatments and lab-scale base crumb processing procedures are developed by the experts at RRE in Minneapolis, who have been custom formulating these advanced polymer solutions since the Tirecycle® product line was launched in 1982. RRE's ongoing commitment to innovation in the rubber industry has led to continued refinements in our processes and technology.

Our work begins with a discussion of your material requirements and samples of your compound. Advac will return a lab sample formulated to match your compound's cure, rheology and physical properties. After your approval, the next step is a pilot production run at our Milwaukee plant and plant trial in your production environment.

Because we work directly with the innovators of reactivated particle technology and the Tirecycle® process, and because of our own expertise and experience with the proprietary processing equipment and production methods, Advac Elastomers is confident that we can provide an effective material solution for your company.

Please see the Applications & Products page for a list of applications, processes and polymer types in which Tirecycle® has been used on a commercial scale.
